Diverse professionals gather around small tables in a modern lounge for a collaborative networking session featuring snacks, drinks, and casual discussion.

This week, the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future, an initiative of Teach For All, will host its second annual Better Future Forum from May 12-14, 2026 in Singapore.

Building on the foundation of its inaugural 2025 convening, the Better Future Forum will once again bring together 200  global leaders from more than 50 countries across the education ecosystem, together with visionary leaders from local contexts, to connect, learn together, and consider a collective agenda for reshaping education so that students can develop holistically and shape a better future.

Forum participants are diverse leaders and changemakers, invited based on the transformative work they’re leading in their own education systems and contexts, and for the unique perspective and experience they’ll bring in their capacity as students, educators, researchers, non-state actors, policymakers, philanthropists, and thought leaders. In particular, the Forum aims to include those often excluded from global policy spaces to bridge the policy and practice divide by bringing  frontline practitioners with first-hand  knowledge of what's working in classrooms and schools in close proximity with global policy makers capable of spreading innovations and insights at scale.

At a moment of profound disruption in global education, with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence,  geopolitical conflict, and deepening inequality in learning outcomes, the Forum’s focus on cross-border learning and connection comes at a critical time.

"The Better Future Forum exists because the most powerful knowledge about how to reshape education lives in classrooms and communities. Our job is to bring those insights into the same room as the people who can help spread them."

- Cheryl Fernando, Director of the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future

The programming at the 2026 Forum aims to push our thinking around how to shift the practices and culture of education systems to achieve the holistic outcomes students need to shape a better future. Over three days, participants will connect, learn together, and consider a shared agenda for change to advance our collective learning and leadership towards reshaping education. Practitioner led discussions at this year’s Forum will explore topics such as:

  • Moving Beyond the False Dichotomy Between Academic Mastery and Social Emotional Development
  • Building Shared Purpose Throughout Systems
  • Measuring What Matters: New Approaches to Holistic Outcomes Measurement
  • Rethinking Teacher Development Toward Holistic Student Growth
  • Reshaping Education in the Age of AI

This year’s Forum will also feature new programmatic elements such as a student performance and dinner featuring Kids Education Revolution taking place at Gardens by the Bay, and the Better Future Showcase, a TED-style platform where educators and student leaders share innovations already reshaping learning outcomes around the world.
