Our Purpose

The Global Institute will contribute to the learning and leadership development of people committed to reshaping education, in the process generating new insights, evidence, tools, and resources to accelerate progress.

Our Theory of Change

The Global Institute is addressing the fact that while there are exemplary classrooms, schools, and systems around the world, the global ecosystem lacks effective global learning systems to surface and spread their insights
 

Gaps in Global Learning in Education

  • Most research and learning is about how to advance an outdated education paradigm built for individual mastery and success.
  • There are few global learning opportunities below the ministerial level.  
  • There’s a big evidence-practice divide, with practitioners–especially those in marginalized communities– rarely shaping and engaging in the inquiry.
  • Learning opportunities have an insufficient focus on the human-centered, adaptive work that’s at the heart of systems change in education.

We are designing the Global Institute to address these gaps

About the Global Institute

Based in Singapore, the Global Institute for Shaping a Better Future is an initiative of Teach For All. The Global Institute builds on the work of Teach For All’s Global Learning Lab, which has engaged thousands of educators in learning together about what it takes to transform classrooms and systems.

About Teach For All

Teach For All is a global network of 63 independent, locally led organizations and a global organization united by a commitment to developing collective leadership to ensure all children can fulfill their potential. Each network partner recruits and develops promising leaders to teach in their nations’ under-resourced schools and communities and, with this foundation, to work with others, inside and outside of education, towards a world where all children have the education, support, and opportunity to shape a better future. Teach For All’s global organization works to increase the network’s impact by supporting the development of new organizations; fostering network connectivity and learning; providing coaching and consulting; and enabling access to global resources for the benefit of the network.
