How can we work holistically with students to help them develop their academic and socio-emotional skills and build a better future? In the course "Teacher Development for Transformative Classrooms," we will explore training options designed to cultivate teacher leadership with the aim of creating transformational classrooms. 

Participate in a collaborative learning process focused on generating ideas and practices for  your program. Discover and apply insights from Teaching as Collective Leadership (TACL) and case studies to create and implement effective teacher training and support initiatives. You will learn alongside experts from around the world, reflecting on your practices with colleagues and developing evidence-based strategies that foster transformational classrooms that grow student leadership.

Objectives

  • Gain knowledge and perspectives on effective approaches for the holistic development of transformative teachers
  • Carry out research based on the action learning approach for teacher development
  • Adjust the training and support program based on the evidence collected.

Ale Vassallo

Ale Vassallo is the Global Classroom and Systems Integration Leader at Teach For All and an alumnus of Enseña Perú.  In her role, she specializes in researching transformational teachers and selecting insights to improve frameworks at Teach For All. She is dedicated to developing innovative resources and learning experiences for teachers, program designers, and mentors.

Ale Vassallo es líder de Aulas globales e Integración de sistemas en Teach For All y alumni de Enseña Perú.  En su cargo, se especializa en la investigación de los docentes transformadores y en seleccionar ideas para mejorar los marcos de trabajo de Teach for All. Se dedica a desarrollar recursos innovadores y experiencias de aprendizaje para docentes diseñadores de programas y mentores.

Juliana León
Juliana León

Juliana León works for the MERL team at Teach For All as a Research Associate and is an alumna of Enseña por Colombia. She coordinates action learning projects focused on teacher development and holistic student outcomes. Previously, she served as the local research coordinator for a study conducted in collaboration with Enseña por Colombia on the scaled implementation of Teaching As Collective Leadership (TACL).

Juliana León trabaja para el equipo MERL de Teach For All como investigadora asociada y es alumni de Enseña por Colombia. Coordina proyectos de aprendizaje activo centrados en el desarrollo docente y los resultados holísticos de los estudiantes. Anteriormente, se desempeñó como coordinadora local de investigación para un estudio realizado en colaboración con Enseña por Colombia sobre la implementación a gran escala de la enseñanza como liderazgo colectivo (TACL).

Morayma Jiménez
Morayma Jiménez

Morayma Jimenez is a certified teacher with a degree in International Relations. She has experience in teaching, leadership roles in education organizations, and now supports network partners at Teach For All. Her work mainly focuses on student and participant holistic development and the conditions that best enable this. 

Morayma Jimenez es una docente certificada con un título en Relaciones Internacionales. Tiene experiencia en docencia, cargos de liderazgo en organizaciones educativas y ahora apoya a los socios de la red de Teach For All. Su trabajo se centra principalmente en el desarrollo holístico de estudiantes y participantes y en develar cuáles son las condiciones más favorables para ello.
